My wife and I are having a bit of a disagreement, so I’ll pass this one over to you: Is this dog A) cute as all get-out, or B) fricking creepy-looking?
I don’t think that’s a very good picture…it tends to accentuate the negative. He does seem to have an overly large head.

My reaction was, “yikes!” I can’t really put my finger on why, but I definitely vote “fricking creepy-looking”.
Creepy. Dead, vacant eyes, mad-scientist eyebrows, too-large ears, and the tendrils of hair around his mouth look like insect proboscis.

Just kidding, for a puppy he’s cute - I find in the world of dog owners - schnauzer’s owners are a group of their own. For simple dog lovers any
dog is cute.

If I’m ever in a position to own a dog (i.e. living in a house not an apartment), I’ve resolved that I will have a short-haired purebreed, e.g. a Weimaraner, and not a “cute” dog, whether ugly or not.
I’ve got cats covering the cuteness end.

I second the bad picture vote. He looks weird there, but I think if he were taken at a slightly different angle he would be cute.
Can I just mention that I hate those haircuts? Leaving the face fur shaggy like it’s supposed to be and then giving the body a crew cut? What gives, people?
I’m not a schnauzer fan (that mouth hair gets gross and freaks me out) but those ears are fabulous, and I think he’s cute.

Can’t he be so ugly he’s cute? Dogs often work that way. He looks sweet, like a giant rabbit.
Plus, personality goes a long way with dogs, to paraphrase Mr. Vincent Vega. If he’s got a great personality, he might just be downright adorable in person!
He’s totally cute. I don’t see creepy at all. A little weird-looking maybe but that adds to the cuteness.
I love dogs but I damned near flipped my chair over backwards when I clicked on the link. I used to be sleepy and I need to get some work done so that picture may be just what I needed.
He looks rather young. There may be some money in the contest in the future.
Oh, now, he’s not that bad. (Or should I say, he’s not that good?) Definitely not going to win any ugliest dog contests.

I think that’s why he looks weird. His proportions look out of whack because his body fur has been shortened too much. That’s a shaggy breed, not short haired, so let him be shaggy!
He looks like he’d normally be cute, but the reflection in his eyes makes him look possessed.
