My 14-year-old daughter looked at it, too. She doesn’t think it’s funny, either.
Yeah, but it is meant to be funny?
Mark Thomas, a comedian/activist, made the same joke in a funnier way - I paraphrase from memory:
Just plain old not funny.
Not funny enough.
A couple of the quotes on the front page were funny; I didn’t care to read much further. I imagine that a really sharp satirist could make a funny site on this topic, but whoever’s behind this one just isn’t clever enough. It’s just heavy-handed, totally obvious propaganda.
Yes. I got a little chuckle out of it. But then, my sense of humor responds well to sick jokes and flogging dead horses, so…
I don’t think it’s funny, it’s trying to make a point, but I *totally * disagree with the fact that it can’t be a funny subject. Everything can and must be funny at some point; it’s the only thing that keeps us humans sane.
What Trunk said.
It’s funny, but only as self-parody. As satire, it’s thick-headed and dumb.
Which is to say: if a friend of mine said these things, I might find them fall-down funny. The fact that anti-abortion zealots might be saying it takes some of the humor out.
Just plain not funny.
No.
I see where it was going, but it just doesn’t deliver.
“I lost a bet” made me laugh. The rest, not funny at all.
Nope.
It doesn’t seem to have much of the funny.
It’s difficult, IMO to make extremely sensitive subjects funny.
Not funny. And it didn’t provoke any thoughtful reflection about the subject matter and so also not a successful attempt at satire.
And I have a really dark sense of humor.
Inept satire. Didn’t make me laugh once.
A few comments were a little funny. The website as a whole is not.
One or two somewhat funny items, overall made less funny by its general odor of right-wing stealth strawman propaganda, or whatever the correct term for this sort of thing would be.
According to the domain registry information, the same person runs this website. His info can be found here..
From that info I would say stupid, unfunny, and juvenile, but not the product of a stealth marketing campaign by the fundies.
