They sure as hell can.
I guess the OP didn’t make it to the road house, then?
Yes, and wine too! But I would be sure to transport it in the trunk to avoid the OP’s issues.
I live in the Chicago suburbs, and can buy beer and wine at many Walmart, Target, and Walgreens locations.
Florida to you too.
It may depend on the state, but: yeah, why not?
It depends on the state, but when I lived in Ohio you could buy wine and beer at supermarkets like Walmart. However, you couldn’t in Pennsylvania: they have strange laws about sale of alcohol.
You can buy beer pretty much anywhere in Florida (though we have some dry counties).
My head was spinning just parsing the information that was actually provided.
Probable cause is not necessary for a traffic stop. All that is required is reasonable suspicion, which is a lower standard likely to be satisfied by an anonymous tip with some indicia of reliability. Probable cause is required to arrest.
That made me laugh.
Florida,
Loach
Yeah, that was a pretty stupid move on the OP’s part.
To the OP: Drugs are bad, alcohol is bad, mixing the two is bad mmmmkay.
I don’t do drigs.
Higher than they should be.
Stop chugging beers in your car, stop driving after drinking beers, stop drinking beers the moment you get out of the store, stop chugging beer after taking Xanax.
Stop being a danger to yourself and people around you, and maybe you won’t have to go back in front of the judge again.
BTW, you freely admitted to chugging beers in your car while on Xanax.
Cool story. When you speak to your lawyer, tell him what actually happened, not the transparent whitewash version that you think makes you look good, but really doesn’t. It will help him figure out how to handle the plea bargain.
Wal-Mart will sell beer at 8:45am? What do they think they are, Thailand?

**EmilyG **is just surprised because in Quebec they sell beer and wine everywhere except Walmart!![]()
My thoughts exactly!
In fact I’m surprised they don’t sell beer at Walmart in Quebec; they do at Costco!
You started drinking a beer while walking from the store to your car? :dubious:
You ran out of beer by 8:45 after having bought beer at 7:30? :dubious:
Why didn’t you go inside your house? :dubious:
:dubious:

Florida.
You belong in jail so it will be a cold day in hell when I provide any sort of useful advice. Hopefully your coworkers (who deserve medals) continue to tip off the cops on your shitty, public-endangering behavior.
In Las Vegas, you can buy beer, wine and hard liquor, 24/7, at most Walmarts.
BTW, is there some place on the Internet that is claiming the SDMB is a redneck advice column?
Of late, we seem to be getting lots and lots of first time posters with bizarre stories. These are usually written without paragraphs, with bad grammar and spelling and seeking advice for situations that would make even a judge in rural Alabama dubious.
If he had mentioned his dog died, the entire OP could be a country song.
