Judging from the comical prose ("She later refused to apologize even after being caught red-handed and with foot in mouth. "), I’d say wait for mainstream media confirmation.
Here’s a link to another source:

Here’s a link from the L.A. Times, a mainstream media source: http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-budget23jul23,1,3750433.story?coll=la-home-headlines
It isn’t the story referred to in the link above but it confirms the details.
And here is the original L.A. Times story: http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/front/la-me-budget22jul22000429,1,4741662.story?coll=la-headlines-frontpage
Wow - a thread that has zero content except for a bunch of links. Not even the title describes anything.
“Not even the title describes anything.”
Now you’ve gone and ruined it by describing the Title !
I just popped in to gripe about the non-descriptive thread title. Including a hint as to the subject of the thread in the “title” field greatly increases the chances of someone with an answer actually reading it.
I never expected to find the OP as unenlightening as the thread title.
If you want to save yourself some clicks, (especially since the first one is NewsMax, which many will consider a suspect source, and the third and fourth are LATimes articles, which require registration,) I’ll be crazy and quote a bit of Bob Scene’s Times-Standard link:
Should I have used a spoiler box?
Since this is asked and answered, I’ll just close it.
Joel, as a courtesy to your fellow members please make your thread titles more descriptivve in the future. Thank you.
