Is this valid? Wiki article on Laurentia as a continent

On Wikipedia, there is a line on the geographical history of Laurentia that says: “Around 250 Ma from now, all continents may crash together, forming the major supercontinent Pangaea Ultima. Laurentia will be part of Pangaea Ultima.”

Is this accurate? Should it be edited out? I have seen bizzare behaviour on wiki in the past, but usually I can tell if it is true or not.

Anyone? Is the rest of this stuff accurate?

Consistent with the supercontinent cycle, Pangaea Ultima could occur within the next 250 million years. This potential configuration, hypothesized by Christopher Scotese, earned its name from its similarity to the previous Pangaea supercontinent. The concept was based on examination of past cycles of formation and breakup of supercontinents, not on current understanding of the mechanisms of tectonic change, which are too imprecise to project that far in the future. “It’s all pretty much fantasy to start with”, Scotese has said. “But it’s a fun exercise to think about what might happen. And you can only do it if you have a really clear idea of why things happen in the first place.”[1]

Consider this excerpt from the linked article on Pangea Ultima:

Right- Normally I would say that was a bit too ‘out there’ to be listed on Wiki, and would have expected it to be deleted. I don’t feel like starting that fight, however. I was wondering about the other things in that history list, too… any ideas aboutthis?:

Around Neogene (23.03 ±0.05 Ma until today or ending 2.588 Ma), Laurentia, in the form of North America, crashed into South America, forming the minor supercontinent America.

Looks like that is also in the future, but appears to be in the past, clicking on neogene…
