Is this woman from Georgia (USA) drunk or high? Her accent is nearly incomprehensible

It’s from minute 9:00 to 10:00 in this vid. Even the reporter misheard her.

I immediately thought she was slurry drunk from some other state.

At least she’s happy drunk.

Since there is no way to answer this factually without a breath or blood test, let’s move it to IMHO.

She has an accent, but that’s only part of what makes her hard to understand. Drunk, high, mentally ill or mentally challenged, it’s hard to tell.

If it was muted I would have guessed she was drunk. Without the video I would have guessed she was drunk. With both I would have guessed she’s drunk.

But it wouldn’t terribly surprise me to find out she wasn’t. Some rural Georgia accents do sound a lot like that.

I don’t know, but I like her! That’s my kind of woman, right there!

By the way, I’m the guy that originally posted that John Potter “sex toys” video (starts at 6:32) to YouTube, and it got a bump from a poster here on the dope that sent it viral and on all the late-night shows.

My claim to fame!

It was Smeghead with the assist. Thanks again, man!

Drunk and stupid. Not necessarily in that order.

I honestly though she seemed to be partially deaf, and possibly a bit disabled. But, of course, that might be a temporary disability due to chemical alteration.

Seems weird to use her for the segment, though, if it is drugs.

Her husband seems to be similarly afflicted.

I’m going to guess some sort of opioid. She just doesn’t seem to have the unsteadiness that you would expect with that level of slurring. Could be wrong.

I’m going with drunk…and she’s very practiced at being drunk. Funny thing is, I didn’t have any trouble understanding her. But then again, I’m not very far from Rabun county, Georgia, and I have a good bit of experience with drunkinesse.

I’m going with a speech impediment + a strong accent. She may be drunk as well, but who am I to judge?

So do you want a medal or a cookie? Cookies taste better but they don’t get the chicks

Just a friendly tip:

If you click the share link on a yt video, you can get a link for a specific time IN that video.
