Ah, but are you running the game with five expansion packs and about 2GB of downloaded objects, skins, etc…it takes my game about 10 minutes to load, and according to the Sims forums, WinXP increases the load time by an enormous factor, in some cases an hour and a half!!!
Because I’m an anally obsessive bastard who likes to keep everything in one place. On the other hand, enough people have suggested this that I’m seriously starting to consider it…hmm I wonder if there’s enough space in that corner under my desk…
I’ve looked into DosBox and other emulators and it seems like their compatibility (esp. with sound) is shaky at best, from what I’ve read.
What about using a DOS boot disk? I’ve heard that suggested quite a few times.
