Is your old room a shrine?

I still live there. I was going to say there’s not a stick of the original furniture left, but there is a small blanket chest. But it’s all different and much, much better.

My room doesn’t exist anymore. My parents did a major renovation about 10 years ago and that room went away in the renovation.

Can’t say I lived in a house that had extra rooms or the expectation that the residents would remain the same after I moved. My room became a younger sibling’s room, and then many years later my mother’s new husband and his kids moved in. I don’t even know who lives there now or where. My shrine lived on in the “attic” (really just a hole in the ceiling in the closet) and a leaky shed.

Nope, no shrine. My parents did the “stay together for the kids” thing, so the moment I moved out, my mother moved into my old room and decorated it to her taste. My brothers old room became the computer room, as he moved out before I did, but returned for a while.

Not a shrine to me, but it is fast turning into a shrine to the grandkids

She turned it into her sewing room before I even moved out…
