Islam and Burqas - Answer quick please.

Let’s say you have muslim women who habitially wear burqas, even when traveling abroad. How ar they processed by airport authorities? Will they be forced to show their faces, to men?

Depends, obviously, on the practices of the countries in which are situated the airports through which they pass.

Airlines generally want passengers to enjoy their travel or, at least, not hate it, and they put pressure on airports not to undermine this. I expect most airports can organise to have female security officers available to deal with travellers who aren’t comfortable showing their faces to men.

thanks. this means of course, that you show your face to confirm identification with a valid ID which you have to show.

assuming your photo ID shows your face!
Here in the good ol USofA-it is still required, but times change and people will continue to push the envelope:

I read the first half of the quoran, and a woman is allowed to show her face and hands, but that if they choose to wear a burqua you have to let them. I also heard that something else considered in the case, while at the state level, is that driving is not a right. So if you don’t follow the rules they don’t have to let you drive.
