I remember the song This old heart of mine by the Isley brothers being in a commercial in the 80’s-90’s.

I don’t know what version of the song it was.

Seems like it was a food add, but I could be off on that. It was definitely a daytime add for domestic types…food, oven cleaner, ring around the collar etc.

Are you sure you aren’t thinking of the '80s Rod Stewart version simply existing? I don’t know if it was in a commercial, but he’s been making cover songs for about 30 years that sound like they are produced to appear in commercials for household products.
