ISO Songs ala Dave Mason...

I’m trying to recall an oldie akin to Dave Mason’s “We Just Disagree”. It is from that era, and it was a one-hit wonder. All I can recall is it has “Love” in the title (which really narrows it down, I know) and I always mistook it for Dave Mason. If I think of any other clues or solve the puzzle, I will update this thread.

So, music trivia buffs…what jumps to the front of your mind for you???

Any of these fit the bill? I remember each of them getting a lot of airplay, and I’m pretty sure they are one hit wonders:
Fooled Around and Fell in Love by Elvin Bishop (on second thought, he might have had other hits)

Love Is in the Air by John Paul Young

The Wedding Song (There is Love) by Paul somebody, I think

mmm

Feel Like Makin’ Love or Ready for Love by Badfinger?
I’d Love You to Want Me by Lobo?
I’d Really Love to See You Tonight by England Dan and John Ford Coley?
**Just Remember I Love You **by Firefall?
Love Will Find a Way by Pablo Cruise?
Fallin’ in Love by Joe Hamilton, Frank & Reynolds?
I’m Not in Love by 10CC?

I don’t think any of there were one-hit wonders, but just in case you were mistaken:

Crazy Love by Poco?
I’ll Have to Say I Love You in a Song by Jim Croce?
Love Is Like Oxygen by Sweet?
Never Gonna Fall in Love Again by Eric Carmen?

These songs were actually by Bad Company.

Hard to keep 'em straight…in part because one of these groups was promoted by the Beatles for their upstart record label, while the other was promoted by Led Zeppelin for their upstart record label!

Love Takes Time by Orleans?

I’m also thinking it may have been something by Bob Welch who had a similar sound to We Just Disagree, but I can’t think of a song he did that had ‘love’ in the title.

Without love, where would you be now?

Of course, it being the Doobie Brothers, it’s the farthest thing from a one hit wonder. But it’s the first thing that came to mind.

I do that all the time.

Could it be “That’s Love” by Jim Capaldi? I don’t think it really fits your description, but since he and Dave Mason were in Traffic together it popped into my head.

Dave Mason did a cover of “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.” Could that be it?

Paul Stookey. He was the Paul of Peter, Paul, and Mary.
