Israel in conflict for 65 years. How will it end?

Ok, first of all it’s utterly silly to think that if the oil-producing Muslim countries lose influence that this would be bad for Israel. If anything just the reverse.

Secondly, I’m no fan of Israel’s immigration and citizenship laws and have no problem calling them racist, but they’re hardly the only country which has laws designed to give special dispensation to members of certain ethnic groups.

In fact, a large number of European countries, most notably Germany already do so.

In fact, Germany has huge numbers of Muslims who’ve been living there for in some cases two or three generations without being made citizens.

By contrast, any Arab born in Israel proper is automatically granted citizenship. In that regard, one could certainly argue it’s better to be an Arab in Israel than an Arab in Germany.

Also, next time you choose a source please don’t choose one that claims that Zionism led to European anti-Semitism.

As if the major land route between Asia, Europe, and Africa is of strategic importance solely because of oil!

Americans are not the west and there is no strategic rationale for supporting the israelis, it comes from other things.

Uh. . . . Are you sure about that? Because that sounds like a bold faced lie to me. Or rather your just uneducated as too political history of the ME and the relationship of the Israelis and Americans. The relationship is, for the most part, “strategic”.

Do not accuse other posters of lying in Great Debates.
