Now there’s a new weird thing. It was about the size of the yellow burny thing, and white. Unlike the other white things, it was bright, but not as bright as the yellow thing. It was round, but kind of flattened on one side.
Is this something new to worry about?
At least the stringy greenish fungus in the yard was covered with a little bit of new snow. Maybe the snow will keep it from eating the house.
Anne Neville, I too live in Pittsburgh, and the other day I went outside and said - verbatim - “Ack! The light” and shielded my eyes. Phew. We’re so lucky we rarely get sunny days
the orb! the orb! it burns!
must dance the dance of snow.
If you’re anywhere near the east coast of the US, please fucking STOP dancing the dance of snow. Third damn storm in a month today. Thank you much.
As for the orb, you can defy its powers with the proper ritual clothing (“hat”, “sunglasses”) and anointing your flesh with the proper unguents (called “sunscreens”, though they in no way resemble screens, but let us not question the ritual). Unless you are in fact a vampire, in which case I can’t help you.
Well, there was a lot of snow here yesterday, and the soil covering is plentful indeed. This afternoon, the lady that runs the place called my attention to a strange light outside. I ran to the window and peered through the blinds at the glare. Far in the west, the yellow burny thing lit up the landscape!
We couldn’t fire a rocket at it though; too many houses and trees in the way.
I’m glad, though, that my country is doing well in the normal sports (the ones that involve things and people sliding on ice).
i bought one of those nifty hat things today.
no worries, ryobserver, the dance is to protect us with snow next month!
i have been known to keep vampire hours, kinda in reverse. into work before orb rise, don’t leave until the orb is gone.
I’m very concerned: I couldn’t see my breath last time I went out. I mean, I was still breathing in and out as normal, but it was… invisible. Has the burny orb made my breath defective somehow?
suspicious glare That ain’t right.
Well, thank heavens it hasn’t spread here yet.
