It Looks As If I Have MS

Update:

I was at a three hour assesment yesterday and when it was done, the therapist asked “Why aren’t you using a walker? You should have had one months ago.”

So I ordered one, it will be here in a couple of days. I tried to find one with Ben-Hur wheel-spikes, no luck, oh well.

And just in case I needed cheering up, my buddy sent me a link to The Star Wars Holiday Special, which I had never seen.

Happy Life Day!

I’m not sure the Star Wars Holiday Special will make you feel any better there Brian.

I’m an MS researcher, and for what it’s worth, I think my lab is on to something pretty important. The drug around the concept is currently in early development.

it made me happy that no matter what I’m going through, it cannot be as debilitating as what George Lucas went through.

Maybe you can get the lady who custom paintsKitchen Aidmixers to spiff it up for you.

Cool!

Although, I’m thinking more of a " Professor Fate" kind of look.

I have a friend with MS. It took her a while to find the right drugs, but her treatment has been very successful. I hope yours is as well, and that you are able to keep your positive outlook.

I have a good friend that has it and the effects have been minimal for 10+ years now. He takes his meds and they are working for him.

What kind of tests did they do, to make the diagnosis?

Merry Christmas, Bmalion, and hope you’re feeling good!

Despite all the stuff going on, this has been one of the best Christmas(es) ever.

How do you pluralize “Christmas”?

I’m so glad to hear that. Merry Christmas B!

I just throw an apostrophe on the end & caution to the wind! Happy Christmas to you. I’m glad today has been Awesome!

That is exciting news. I hope we hear about it soon!

Should have a Nature publication out in the next few months! Currently in the anal probing portion of peer review.

.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Brian.

The’re a Herb burger in your future. Jan. for sure.

Woo-hoo!

Where do you work?

There is some interesting MS work on the horizon, but a publication in Nature is a long long way from a trial. The interesting research that I know of involves suppressing the T17 helper cells. Scripps recently published this in Nature.

I’m not a pharmaceutical chemist, so I won’t pretend to understand it, but I do like to read various pharmaceutical blogs to see what developments are on the way. I am curious about what fiveyearlurker might be doing and if it is genuinely a new approach. Of course, I understand proprietary issues from my own field, so I understand if he/she must hold their tongue.

So sorry to hear your news mate, but you seem to have the right mental attitude, ie.hard as nails, you are one tough mother !

Best of luck for the future, sending good thoughts your way.
