In the first episode of the new show 68 Whiskey, military medics are retrieving a wounded soldier and of the first things they do is put a green device or object in one of his nostrils. They don’t do anything else with it and leave it there as they evacuate him.
What is the green thing?
It’s at 6:48 in this episode: https://www.paramountnetwork.com/episodes/fhl9vt/68-whiskey-buckley-s-goat-season-1-ep-1
(Googling “68 whiskey green nose” yields nothing helpful, btw. Other “green nose” searches yield a lot of gross pictures of mucus.)
Placed it in GQ because I assume it’s a real medical thing.
Looks like it’s a Nasopharyngeal Airway, but green.
Nasopharyngeal airway
Ah, okay. Didn’t catch the part where she takes it out of the package and you can see how long it is. Thanks, guys.
The NPA is a very common medical intervention in the Army. It’s not limited to medics, in fact. Every single soldier carries one in their personal first aid kit.
