Seems that your mixer determines your buzz level. Diet soda will get you there faster than regular soda. Something about artificial sweeteners affecting the stomach emptying (or not).

In fact, after three to four drinks, people … exceeded the legal limit for an adult operating a motor vehicle. People who used regular soda in their drink did not.
This is why I don’t know about this alleged study. I do not think that most people can have 4 drinks and not be .08 (which is why I hate .08).
If you use any blood alcohol calculator available on the web and input 4 drinks for a 160 pound person (probably heavier than most women and a bit lighter than most men) you are going to exceed legal limit.
Plus what kind of study announces its results for two different parameters as one? After “3 to 4” drinks - was it 3 or was it 4? Was it 3.5?
nothing about gatorade?
They were to drunk to remember the exact amount. Actually it was 7 to 8 drinks, but they weren’t going to tell that to the officer.
OK, so this isn’t GQ, but
So the study was good for a newspaper headline, where truth is never a requirement, but worthless otherwise.
