It's Bring Your Child to Work Day (Everyone say Hi to Nate)

Hi Nate! Hope you had a good day!

I took my kids to work today too, as did several of my co-workers. It was pleasant, actually. The older ones, like my nine-year-old stepson, actually helped out. Did some alphabetizing & filing. The younger ones, like my six-year-old daughter, were remarkably well-behaved (we do have a two-hour limit for kids under the age of 12, though, which is probably good). Diana drew some pictures for my boss, and my boss liked them so much she hung them on her office door.

My stepson thought the entire thing was SO COOL! He can’t wait until next year. And he wants my job. Let’s just say…he can’t have it, because I have MUCH higher hopes for him.

Hi Nate…

You are the future.

Please do a better job than WE did, okay?

My Thanks!

Sniffle…my dad sometimes let me come to work but never showed me how to use the copy machine when I was little. It was horribly embarrassing to get my first job and to have to ask the boss why the machine wouldn’t work and to be told that this was because I hadn’t turned it on. But then I can’t entirely blame daddy–we didn’t even use copiers when I was a kid.

::sigh:: I never got to go to work with my dad. He worked in the Pentagon.

Hi Nate!

Make sure you get paid.

And don’t let them forget the 401K contribution.
