It's not "Jessies girl"..its not "My Best Friends Girlfriend"...what is it?

splort

Joe Jackson “Is She Really Going Out with Him?”?

You’re a bad man.

“Jane’s Getting Serious” by Jon Astley?

I love this song (and the whole album!). I saw him a couple years ago, and it was a wonderful concert.

awesome…I gotta check these all out when I get home see if anyone hit it. work blocks all these sites

Girlfriend, by Wreckless Eric? Probably not, but I like that song.

J. Geils Band - “Centerfold”

Other Guys’ Girls by Dave Edmunds?

Seriously. How does that even happen?

Also,

See the very first reply to the OP.

Doubtful - there were no other guys mentioned in the lyrics. Unless you want to talk about the “unseen and unacknowledged” presence of Hefner/Guccione, which is a stretch.

Thanks BigBadWolf! You were right! It was Jessie’s girl!

Thanks!

ok… I think its actually Somebody’s Baby!

“Somebody’s Baby” was one of the songs played in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”, so it tends to be one of those songs that everyone’s heard, but no one can remember anything about.

Could it be Glenn Freys’s “Sexy Girl” ?

It’s kinda similar to “Somebody’s Baby”.

After having that song on my brain on a constant loop while reading Andy Taylor’s autobiography, I finally got rid of it by making it my ringtone. It really helped! Maybe I’ve discovered the cure for earworms.

I loved Joe Jackson back in the 80s. So different from the new wave stuff going on around him. I’d love to see him live. “Steppin’ Out” immediately whisks me back to 1982/83.

“Somebody’s Baby” by Jackson Browne? Isn’t the point of that song that the girl doesn’t have a boyfriend?

“What’s he got, that I ain’t got” The Producers

That’s about finding one of those “For a good time call 867-5309” type messages on some rest-room wall. No knowing if this is someone’s girlfriend or not.
(Love that song, BTW!)

It’s definitely this song
