It's not my cat.

Oh. My. God.

I have never seen that kind of coloration before. He is gorgeous. Keep N.M.C. You know you really want to. Com’on.

I was recently adopted my my own kitty, Junipurr. He looks just like a Norweigan Forest Cat. In comparison to my mom’s kitties two torties and a black) he is huge. Same coat type, same frame, same face shape.

I first met him at my babysitter’s house. Day one I petted him. Day two he ran to meet me when I pulled up in the car. When I opened the door he jumped right in. Day three he jumped in through the open passenger side window. I noticed that he was getting dirtier by the day and had fleas. I called home to gain permission to bring him home with me. Permission was denyed. Much wailing about me NOT bringing in another animal.

Day four he tried to jump throught the passenger window again. This time it was closed. He quickly recovered and bounded across the hood of the car and perched two paws on the side veiw mirror and stared at me, purring. Screw permission.

I tried to find his old owners, but they never bothered to get the id chip in his neck registered. The trail was lost at the pound, but I did find out that his shots are good, that he was a kitten at the time of adoption, and that he had been neutered.

I now wonder if the previous owners had hurt him when he was with them. He reacts quite badly if when you are petting him he sees that one of your hands is in what could be seen as a threatening position. I’ve been working on it with him, and he has gotten quite a bit better.

I’ve never seen the cat flinch. It seems to have been treated well. I haven’t seen him in a couple of days, so I’m sure someone has taken him in. If someone hadn’t, then he would be here. I’ll have to ask the teenaged girls if they have him (or her) next time I see them. (Although, since I only met them the one time, I only remember "blonde hair, about 14 years old.)

Re: the racoons. Yes, I know it’s a Bad Idea to feed them. I told my friend that, his mom told him that, and his mom’s husband told him that. I wouldn’t feed them if he hadn’t asked, because they are wild animals that should fend for themselves. Still, they’re awefully cute. As long as they keep their distance when I come outide, that’s fine by me. They can peep in the window all they want.

So, Johnny L.A. – has it turned out that Not Your Cat is, in fact, not your cat? What’s the latest?

Apparently his is Not My Cat. Haven’t seen him yet, and I haven’t seen the teenaged girls around either. But I still have some food and petting waiting for him if he ever decides to come back.
