Its so scary I think I just F.E.A.R.ed in my pants...

I swear to god I hate playing this game. Its too scary for me. Every corner I got around I about had a heart attack.

BTW, I’m stuck in a room near the begining. I believe its the 3rd or 4th mission. After I wake up and they send me back in alone again. The room has two exists (other than the one I came in) that are unable to open. They are both chain link fences and I think I know how to get out. It looks like I have to jump on some pipes off a huge water tank. There are two tanks right next to each other with pipes leading to this walkway but I can’t seem to jump high enough. Any ideas?

nvm, I got past. But still, scary…

What game is this? I assume it’s called “F.E.A.R.” but I’ve never heard of it…

yeah its called F.E.A.R. Its for PC. You should check it out if you have a strong heart or readily accesible adult diapers.

And a $10,000 video card.

OK, maybe only $5,000.

F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon, if memory serves) gives you some goose bumps up front, but it doesn’t maintain the tension throughout.

actually my video card was only about 120 dollars. And its pretty kicking.

I have noticed that I’m shooting the same guys over and over again. Unfortunately they also use their radios before I enter a room so I kinda know when there is gonna be a guy. And I’ve noticed that it tends to lag before I enter a room where something scary happens. Its like I’m hitting the trigger for the event and my computer dumps its ram.

Videogame-induced fear is the best. I still remember the first time I played System Shock 2…I’d made the mistake of drinking a lot of coffee (really black, as usual) beforehand…remember that old Looney Tunes cartoon with the nervous cat and the small yappy puppy? Yeah.

Might have to give F.E.A.R. a chance some time. If it’s even half as tense as SS2 or the undead levels of Thief, it’ll be worth a try.

The most tense game I’ve ever played, though, was probably the marine missions of AvP 1. Never made it more than 4 levels in. Couldn’t take it any more.
