It's the 5th Anniversary of the Jan. 6 insurrection

Sure, why not. Maybe designate the month of January Treason Season.

You mean… wrap them around used Xmas trees… pretty them up with tinsel, bows and candles… and then give odds on how try those pine trees are?

Gotta tell you… I like the way you think…

Yes! The used Christmas trees can be the fuel for the bonfires. A giant Trump pinata can dangle from a makeshift gallows, say, a replica of the one they wanted to hang Pence from. Think of the joy folks will get beating the shit out of his likeness. Then the hollowed out figure can be thrown on the fire, and everyone can sing the official song in unison.

This is on the White House website. Rewriting history is continuing apace. It’s absolutely insane.

Another outcome of Republican rewriting of history:

Trump calls a Code Red on the Capitol Police officer who shot Ashli Babbitt

By now, most of us know that the Trump White House Website has an entire section dedicated to whitewashing Jan. 6. But the most outrageous moment came when Trump effectively put a giant target on the back of Michael Byrd, the Capitol Police officer who shot insurrectionist Ashli Babbitt. In the eyes of Trump, this amounted to murder.

Let’s say it clearly, firmly, and in no uncertain terms. The president of the United States is using the power of his office to call a Code Red on a police officer—one who may very well have not only kept the insurrection from getting out of hand, but saved the republic.

trump: he’s the reason for the season

Every online story about the anniversary had comments (“Don’t read the comments!!” but I didn’t listen…) from MAGAts that all had the same talking points: Trump said “let’s all go down there peacefully, yada yada”; capitol police opened the doors and let the protesters in; the protesters then just walked peacefully through the corridors like tourists; there were 276 undercover FBI agents provocateurs in the crowd; and Ashli Babbitt was unarmed and a veteran, murdered by the police.

Now maybe I’ll come across like some CT nutjob, but I think some did! Not all, and not as part of some massive democrat false flag operation, but I suspected while watching it live that there were a lot of MAGA in the police, and some simply looked the other way.

This never gets mentioned because it clouds the issue. Each side has to be totally “right” and good, and the other 100% bad and wrong.

I remember bringing that up when this happened in Jan. 2021. It didn’t get much traction then. But I still think it’s the perfect name for this day (especially since it’s already named that!)

It’s perfect because while many of us were already aware of what a cultural threat these idiots were/are, it was on 1/6 that much of the country had an true epiphany. On that day we all saw and realized that the threat is also physical. We saw that in fact, the threat is existential.

January 6th every year from here on out—

The Epiphany.

The American (damnit) Epiphany.

All right, what’s good about the red-hat side?

I second the question ^

Just about any country on earth, and those assholes would have been met with Uzi fire. I hope they at least installed water cannons when they repaired the place.

Do I need to use smaller words?

Write to be understood.

Read to understand.

If you can’t answer @Love_Rhombus question, I guess we are done.

This looks like a general rule that ALWAYS applies, in every situation, no exceptions. Did you intend for it to?
