What “connections”? AFAIK his board seat was by virtue of being governor, not a personal seat. Does he have some other connections?

FTR, it was a really strange thing for a spammer to be advertising. Heavy equipment used in quarries (let’s not throw stuff down there) and mining. The funny thing is, I know what those things are. I’ve seen them running, and had to take samples of their output, to make sure they were doing what they are supposed to and meeting their specs. How did the spammer know?

Corbett was a guest on a local call-in radio show last Friday. The sonofabitch couldn’t give a straight answer with a ruler, compass, protractor, and a plumb line. I heard a lot of the show and his answers were a wonderful display of backpedaling and invocations of confidentiality and executive privilege that could make Richard Nixon seem honest. (The show wasn’t only about Penn State and the lawsuit, but that was a large part of it.)
And, of course, no one is buying that this lawsuit isn’t political. I said this upthread, and I’m saying it again. Corbett’s got reason to be afraid for his job in 2014, and he may even have reason to worry about legal action against him for his “investigation” of Penn State when he was AG. I can see one or more of the victims suing because Corbett could’ve had Sandusky arrested sooner and didn’t, and I can see some penalty somewhere for whatever official feasance may apply to him, be it mis-, mal- or non-.
Paterno is a saint and Sandusky is a hero. Debate me!

You have the saintly “Paterno”, and a Judas by the name of 'Sandusky". The “paper towel tub test”, err… The Kiss of Judas, condemned Jesu… err, Joe Paterno to his crucifiction, once Judas Sandusky kissed the wrong kid. So you examine this, and the fact is the high priest in the Sanhedrin was really not guilty, rather the Judas (Sandusky) was the one who was responsible for kissing the wrong guy, and it sort of had something to do with gay sex, and… Umm.
