Now, now, board rules, we’re not supposed to do other people’s homework for them.
According to IMDB, Al Pacino and Brian de Palma are teaming up to make a movie about the scandal. It is their first collaboration since Scarface. Hopefully the phrase “Say hello to my little friend” will not be used.
I was impressed with Theory #1, but Theory #2 is equally impressive. You have a true talent here. I really think you should start your own ‘conspiracy theory’ website (or write Hollywood screenplays). Charge a subscription fee on your site and you’d make a mint with the Tea Baggers.
Btw, I’m willing to arrange hosting & manage the site for a small %.
So. It seems Children & Youth Services (CYS) had a little more information than Louis Freeh’s “all-inclusive” 256-page report would have you believe.
People can keep ignoring the pieces of evidence that cumulatively add up to a failed function, but don’t be the frog that gets cooked in the pot.
USG Analyst Ray Blehar disputes Freeh’s findings: Freeh Report Suffers Another Blow
Ah, NLP! Welcome back! Would you mind please filling in the following blank?
“The hypothesis I alluded to in post #6221 is ___________________________________.”
Did you forget?
The Freeh Report suffered no blow from that PDF. Hell, it’s little more than a glorified blog from some Penn State grad who is now a middle manager with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. He works on process, workflow, etc. If Sandusky had wanted to find a way to streamline the grooming process, reduce victim turnover, etc., then the author would have been able to use his expertise to help. In this area, not so much.
Headline of the Week | ESPN: Miami awaits sanctions as NCAA probes self
Last year, NCAA President Mark Emmert literally said, “Never let a crisis go to waste” after using Joe Paterno as an example to all the other head coaches. The message made it clear that they can no longer claim “ignorance” about the behavior of their assistant coaches - head coaches would now be assuming complicit responsibility for the entire staff.
So, now you have this internal NCAA scandal hilariously hitting headlines with Mark Emmert reeling fast, insisting he had no idea what was going on under his watch, and had he known, he would have done more and, basically, all the things he threatened the death penalty on Penn State for saying. Time to pop some popcorn.
Ace, I wish I could better address your question. I was able to connect with two separate people about the vague ideas I spewed out before.
-
First person is the sibling of a prominent figure involved in the legal proceedings of the Sandusky/SecondMile/CYS/DPW/CMHS/PSU/NCAA/CmmnwlthPA/etc scandal. Long story short, the person I spoke with put a quick end to the theory I presented. Either that person knows it to be false, or isn’t aware of the possibility, or doesn’t want to acknowledge anything about the case with anyone. But all I can go on is the denial I received.
-
Second person I connected with isn’t related to a central figure, but is pretty well-connected to several peripheral characters close to the action. I floated my thoughts and the person said that was pretty interesting because I nailed it. They are supposedly hoping/expecting to catch the other side unprepared to address this particular point. There was concern that if I could anticipate this scenario on my own, then perhaps they can’t count on catching the other side off-guard.
To be fair, I’ve done an extraordinary amount of digging online and it’s kind of like panning for gold. There’s so much crap out there you could justify pretty much any theory, best hope is to just get lucky. Anyway, I was encouraged to button it up for about a month.
In closing, one source rejected my theory and, of course, the other one verified it. Funny language they speak, this legalese. So who knows.
Not necessarily directly related to the theory, but the Governor of PA can’t stay out of the spotlight to save his life. You could write volumes of books about this guy. I personally don’t trust him, but, hey, that’s just an opinion, and you know what they say about those…
Anyway, Ace, I’ve actually only read about 6 random pages of that 40-page doc. If the other 34 pages are anything like that, that’d be a dream. Trying to temper expectations a bit, but much for Pandora, lol…
Oh, and how about America’s most lovable, insufferable catfish being lured out of the water by his own PR adviser to slowly, painfully (and repeatedly) leak out the humiliating details of Manti’s passionate phone calls and emails exchanged between Te’o and his she/male. Can anyone recall a more awkward story?
My current theory is that NLP has been cursed by an evil witch to make sure this thread gets bumped at least once a week no matter what, or else he’ll turn into a toad or a cockroach or a tax lawyer or something similarly loathsome.
Yes, It involved low-grade cardboard tubes.
I.e., 99.9% of the time you come up with nothing, and when you finally do find some tiny specks, it turns out to be fool’s gold?
Found a lot more info supporting the theory. Presented it to the sibling again, and again sibling rejects it. Then went to the other source who previously confirmed validity of theory and I kid you not my source is dead as of yesterday. WTF.
You’d better run that theory by us… we might vindicate you to your sibling. Don’t worry, we won’t influence any court case-- we’re not that powerful. But, we’re smart. We’ll figure out the twists and turns that no one’s thought of yet.
Yay, post, #6250. That’s, like 5/8ths of 10,000!
And NLP has gone from advancing nonsense to coyly advancing nonsense, which strikes me as further crippling an already handicapped argument.
If I understand his insinuations correctly, it is not his/her sibling, but a sibling of a major player. Who apparently got someone who is connected to others who are “peripheral players” but also “close to the action” killed for leaking info. So besides not understanding what peripheral means, NLP is also in danger from the anti-Penn conspiracy.
Maybe NLP is writing the script for an upcoming episode of Castle.
There’s something I was checking out the other day, has to do with one of the topics in this thread, and I was surprised to find little support for it initially.
That was before I dug deeper. I realized my angle of attack was a little off and instead got in contact with some of the people that knew some of the other people, instead of going to the other people directly. This paid off as I now have confirmed from at least 2 of the people that knew the other people that my ideas are sound.
The weird thing is that I’ve seen the same mini-van with tinted windows about 3 or 4 times since I’ve started my inquiries.
How about that Sandusky being convicted of raping young boys? That’s crazy! There should be a thread discussing that.
For the love of everything holey, please get into hiding now.
And, make sure it’s somewhere without Internet access.
