It's Wet and Wild in the MMP: old

Sixteen o’clock, and the chowder is just about ready. I’ll give it another five minutes.

In the meantime, I’m snacking on the crispy salmon skins that I cooked in the toaster oven with a little salt.

Lunch is a Mumper who hasn’t posted in years.

BTW, has anyone heard from bumba? I haven’t seen him around for a while.

Those sound fantastic.

Specifically Noone_Special which became Nooner, which became Lunch, ergo…

We had some significant rain earlier and we may still get some more, or not.

And so the weekend winds down.

@Johnny_L.A: Those skins sound fantastic.

I did not know ** lunch** had been a MMPer. Thank you. Makes the rest make more sense.

Hadn’t known they were a Doper; hadda have been a loooong time ago.

As to @Bumpazine, here is their last MMP post from 2+ months ago:

They posted in another thread a few minutes later & haven’t posted since. They were detected reading the Dope as recently as Nov 28 = ~2 weeks ago.

Not dead but hope they’re ok.

I used about 1.3 pounds of wild-caught salmon (less the skins), one pound of Yukon Gold potatoes (3 small potatoes), a medium onion (8 ounces), two stalks of celery (5 ounces), and three small bay leaves.

Oh, yes. I hate wasting food, and I love crispy salmon skins. These had a bit of meat on the edges too. I put some foil in the toaster oven tray, sprayed it with PAM, put the skins on, sprinkled them with kosher salt, and stuck them in the toaster oven for 20 minutes (I think at 350º, but I’m not sure – whatever it was set to).

Not dead (yet), just very busy getting the new house squared away. I read from time to time, but don’t have time to compose.

Miss you guys!

YaaaaaaaaAaaaay! We miss you too.

Good luck w house & come back when able.

Howdy Y’all! red and MOOOOOOM have expertly explained N.O.L. I am so used to doin’ that and forget not everyone may know. In other news, still rainy here but supposed to go away soon. Also gettin’ somewhat cooler.

Hippie prayers headed out for a succesful procedure and speedy recovery. Please check in when you are able.

Bumba glad you are too busy to compose and not decomposin’. That was tacky. Funny, but tacky.

I forget how Larry the Cable Guy said that. Something close to:

Lord … I’m sorry, but that was funny.

Words to live by.

I firmly believe in God, and also that He must have a sense of humor to put up with us mortals. IMO, the platypus is absolute proof of a Divine sense of humor.

So in between torenntial downpours, a tornado in in the Quay, in one of my firends neighborhoods(she and the house are OK). I’m having the usual Wisconsin Old Fashioned, after the usual Panthers loss.

It’s on their wish list, right after they buy Invisible Pink Unicorns for everybody.

Cats only have one

The Man appreciates this.
But glad it’s fixed without massive injury.

In my childhood, at the Dawn of the Microwave Age, I tried reheating an Arby’s sandwich in its foil wrapper. Lightening, followed by a small fire when I open the microwave(which is still cooking 50 years later)

God: “Let Us make a venomous duck beaver, and make it glow under UV light.”
Archangel Michael: “Duuuudde. Put. Down. The. Bong.”

Oh I love that!!!

Wait. Really? You definitely know much more than I do, but there’s this:

It’s a sad state of affairs when you have to use your PetCoach app to answer this question, but I did it. Cats, despite opinions to the contrary, DO have butt cheeks. Those shapely tufts of fur on a cat’s backside are hiding their gluteus maximus and medius muscles, the same muscles that define human butt cheeks.

Megan Malone, DVM, sent this reply to me when I posed the question to her:

“They do have ‘butt cheeks’! They have a gluteus maximus and medius muscle on each side just like humans.”

What am I missing?

In my childhood, at the Dawn of the Microwave Age, I tried to boil an egg in a cup of water. The egg exploded, broke the cup, and cracked the plastic cover that was on the roof of the microwave oven.

One of my college roommates’ favorite sayings was

Humanity is God’s idea of a practical joke.

It’s been almost 50 years since Jim first layed that wisdom upon me. I have yet to see the first counterexample.

Jim was VERY smart.

Happy Sunday!

I am so far behind I will never catch up.

It’s been busy around here, but it looks like nothing gets done.
There is so much going on.
It seems like for every item I cross of the list, three more must be added.
I’ve been sleeping a lot too. I guess my body needs it.

It’s been rainy all day today and we are supposed to have snow in the morning.
I hope it doesn’t last long; I need to go out tomorrow.

Well, he looks like he has a flat ass. Not that I spend a lot of time starting at cat butts.

good news Aunt found the missing atm card … she had it somewhere in her room…after making me (and her)look for hours and much profanity…

new mmp here
