iTunes -- One account, two computers

My 13-year-old son wants an iTune account so he can download free content like podcasts.

To set up an account, iTunes wants a payment method. I’m hesitant to let him set up an account with my credit card. Knowing him, I can believe he would purchase something without realizing he was doing that, and, since I don’t check my credit card account every day, I might not be aware of it until I check my account and discover a couple of hundred bucks worth of purchases of downloads he thought were free.

I’m thinking the better way would be to allow him to use my iTunes account login. That way, I get notification of purchases. But I don’t know what the implications are of having two computers using a single iTunes account.

Would there be any problems with doing this?

I don’t think so, but another solution would be to use those pre-paid iTunes cards.

You can register up to three computers to use a single iTunes account. There’s shouldn’t be a problem.

Actually, you can register up to 5 computers.
