Not in the sense that some team is calling themselves the Screeme’s.
It all started when I was at their family picnic-- I very loudly cursed (Screamed, “Well… What the f***!”)… After that I was somewhat of a legend internally. My friend who is the youth pastor said that every so often in meetings the main pastor would go… “Well… What the f***” (I don’t go to a conservative church. 
)
About a month later, I was caught on tape at their bowling event doing this crazy little dance after getting a strike. So the church people started showing this dance at events and EVEN SERVICES!
Now they have pictures of my face on the wall in their church office. Pictures of my face on flyers trying to get people to show up events. They always use “my floating head”, because the picture looks like my head is floating… so the flyer will say “The floating head of Screeme says be there or be square” or something equally witty. Except, of course, they use my real name.
Then, to top it off. I am on their softball team. When I got my softball t-shirt to wear at games yesterday, who should be on the front of the t-shirt. ME! A full body shot this time of me celebrating! I don’t even know where they got the picture!
So… this rocks! I think its hilarious. I’m trying to come up with ideas to further my mascot status.
So, anybody got any mascot ideas? I’m up for almost anything. (Except I’m not swearing! Its really not appropriate, despite the fact that its what got the legend started. I don’t want to be known as the rude swearing guy. But rather the good humored mascot.)
