I intensely dislike the “noise in your dream that wakes you up” nights. I’ve had 7 or 8 of those over the past couple of years. Could be a bang, could be your significant other saying something, or growl in your case. Always completely realistic never real outside the dream, always disorienting in waking.
Usually my weird dreams involve scientists of some sort, vampires who are also physicists researching a substitute for human blood or geologists who look, sound and act human but are actually aliens from another star system, things like that.
Last night it was a cosmologist who was also an octopus, because dolphins are really stupid and immature as far as big brain intelligences go, more like tween or early teenagers.
This weekend I have had a relentless stream of vivid dreams involving both the living and the dead.
In one dream a multi colored striped sweater that I sadly lost in the early 1980s made a bizarre appearance.
One of the coolest dreams I ever had was where I found a small black hole in my living room. Or maybe one of my time-travel dreams. Or maybe the dream where I was flying, and while I was still dreaming, started designing experiments to determine how I was flying.
Dreamt last night about Michael Dukakis’ child which had two disembodied female heads, needing to be fitted onto a wooden stand to hold it/them upright.
