Sometime in my early school days, there was a textbook in use for social studies which explored the particular culture of the country through the eyes of a boy and girl, eg. “Eva and Juan in Argentina” (Can’t remember actual names, but it seems they were alliterative).
I want to try to find this book or books on ebay or elsewhere, but I can’t seem to find out much about them, like say a title. These would have been in use in the mid sixties i think, possibly third to fifth grade level. Any of you dopers with a touch of grey who could help, I would 'ppreciate it.
Eva and Juan in Argentina
Sure it wasn’t a book about the Perons?
Nah, that was just a little joke Abby. The sections of the book were subtitled with alliteritavie names, such as “Hans and Helga in Holland” I don’t remember any of the actual names, but I do remmber sections on Antarticta, Argentina, and the Netherlands being in the book…
