I agree. Considering how ugly political threads can get, it seems like unnecessary stress you don’t need right now. I remember the thread where you committed to see the movie – I respect the fact that you’re determined to follow through on your word, but honestly it’s not necessary. We’ll find something else to froth about.

This honestly is the first thread of its kind I can recall seeing where my first impulse WASN’T to snidely ask, “Who are you, again?” or “Who did you think was going to miss you?”

While some of your posts got my blood pumping in a really bad way, some sort of conflict is actually appreciated - I guess consens rarely breeds new ideas - so in that light it’s a shame to see you depart. Hopefully you’ll eventually decide to come back

These little breaks are a good thing. I don’t think I’ve ever conciously taken one but I end up not posting about 4 or 5 months out of any given year and I think it’s helped me to stay in [fairly] good [i hope] standing here.

Hell, Airman, it’s confusing at the best of times. Between work and travel, I don’t get here very much and haven’t seen recent stuff but can read between the lines. Come back when you feel like 'cause we’d like to see you 'round the neighborhood.
With a young’un around, might it be that you’re not getting enough sleep? Seriously. When my son was a baby, I didn’t get enough sleep and it made me have a hair-trigger temper.
I know how you feel. We have a few newish posters who do like to phrase things–er–vividly and seem to pop up in every other thread.
Now that we know who Kerry’s VP choice is, I think I might also stay out of the ‘serious’ fora until the Dem convention. It’s so nice out. In fact, while I don’t have a baby, I think I’ll go out-DOORS!!

I’ve just now spotted this thread. I agree with the posters who have questioned whether you should post re F9/11. I do not think that getting involved with a thread such as that will turn out to be will help you get your mind where you want it to be, or away from where you don’t want it to be, as the case may be. Please, go see it, set your notes aside, and post when you’re ready. Or never, if that’s how things work out.
