Ditto!
Sorry, I got distracted. What I meant to say that I tend to find it hard to focus on… hang on a sec…
… on one thing at a time.
It’s a funny thing. My husband is like you - coffee makes him distracted and unable to focus on one thing at a time. With me, it makes me think straight and I can hyper-focus on a single task and see it through to the end.
I avoid caffeine because it makes me jittery. Just the right amount gives me an edge and I can focus better but just a bit beyond that makes me a blathering idiot who has boundless energy but can’t get anything useful done. Just too hard to tune the dosage so I just avoid it.
I also have to be careful of theobromine.
These words make no sense together.
One more cup of coffee before I go.
This guy would disagree.
I agree!
I don’t drink coffee, and I have a pretty high caffeine tolerance. Nonetheless, I have managed to overcaffeinate at least once. From what I am told, it apparently induced a state of hyperfocus in which I figured out how to perform a very tricky bit of calculus, then taught it to others (at about a thousand words a minute). I have no memory at all of that part of the evening, but I knew how to do the calculus on an exam the next day, despite the fact that my last accessible memory was of being frustrated that I didn’t understand it.
God darnit, Princhester, you use your tongue prettier than a twenty dollar whore.
I did not know this was possible.
I am CORNHOLIO!!!
