There are at least three other series that copy off of Reacher like this.
I found out about “Jack Cameron”, Reacher’s son, earlier this week. There’s also Dan Ames (who is doing an entire series focused on one side character from one Reacher novel) and Jude Hardin doing similar series.
Wow, really? It’s like when a whale dies, sinks to the bottom of the ocean, and a whole ecosystem of bottom feeders develops 
Except, in this case, the whale is still clinging to life, barely…

You might want to save your energy - near the end of his life, MacDonald respected his audience enough to give them a vote, and they voted to simply drop the series when he died.Too bad this isn’t true of Lee Child. I picked up the first, co-written with Andrew, and I could only hold my nose. I read all the previous Reachers with pleasure; I put this thing down after a dozen pages, with sadness. And I enjoyed the Tom Cruise versions - a lot of fun, the counterintuitive casting.
