Jackie Kennedy Interview - Comments?

EXACTLY. But I wasn’t surprised because that has always been my impression of her anyway.

.

In addition to her mindless shopping, she also used Onassis-she would buy a bunch of designer togs, then send the bill to Onassis’ NYC offices. Then she would return the stuff, and keep the cash.
The idea that JO was some kind of saint is totally wrong-she was a materialistic, snobby b*tch.

Now hold on! I’m not saying that she thought JFK was a POS; I’m saying that Ari wasn’t the loser he was made out to be. And, it isn’t as simple as whether or not she loved JFK.
Look at this in logical and chronological order:

  1. Allegedly, her husband was a whore dog.
  2. She was friends with Ari since who knows.
  3. She perhaps did love her husband. I guess so. Not arguing otherwise.
  4. Can’t remember if it was before or after she lost the baby-trip with Onassis, the billionaire. He wasn’t that big a loser, as his billions show. Also, Maria Callas saw something in him, and *she *warn’t no used dishrag. So, Jackie’s having a good time with Ari, and rumours are starting to fly. Maybe she does the dirty with him or maybe not. JFK hadn’t been treating her right. Punishing him might not be a bad idea, esp. after what she’s been through. JFK gets jealous, and calls her home.
  5. He straightens up after loss of baby. (Perhaps. Perhaps a little. Who knows/cares?)
  6. They start to grow closer.
  7. He gets murdered in front of her, and is iconized by the world.

Ergo, her opinion of him could be extremely loving, and even worshipful. That doesn’t mean a. she didn’t have an affair with Onassis and b. that it was so far-fetched for her to marry him.
