Short news item is worth a read. Really!
That was beautiful. Really.
Wow, that is one dumb ass Aussie. Threw away his entire fabricated life over $77.
I think he thought he was bigger than the legal system. It was quite stupid really.
Dang. That’s some bringdown. Then again it’s amazing how many people do not understand one of the basic rules of living with skeletons in your closet is don’t fight the traffic ticket()*; pay it and put it out of everyone’s mind.
(*Meaning, really, any minor conflict that any average Joe can get himself into and nobody will remark upon if you just settle it and get on with your life)
Does he get un-declared a living national treasure?
I wonder if this person was actually qualified to be a judge, having bought some of his degrees and completely misrepresented his directorship of Marks & Spencers.
I wonder what the legal ramificatons would be if it was discovered that he was never qualified to be a judge, his competance would be examined to see if this had anymaterial effect on various cases, and then what…
Serves him right, arrogant git.
Reminds me of Jeffrey Archer and his fall from grace. He claimed he had ‘been at Oxford’ but actually had only attended teacher training and then it took him 3 years to complete a one year course! and it was with the local education authority in Oxfird, and definately not at any university - he too bought his degrees, and he too perjured himself - in this case it was to sue a newspaper that had made allegations against him, that turned out to be true. The newspaper then took this to appeal with new evidence that proved he was a liar.
He also made claims he had raised over £30 millions for a charity to help the Kurds followong the earthquake, turns out he had wholly misrepresented by inflating the amount raised to make him look good, but it took a lot of explaining when auditors started to ask where all the money went.
read this, you’ll enjoy it, yet another of Margaret Thatcher acolytes sent to prison, and folk wonder why I hate her and her apologists. High office and corruption.
