A few months ago a ruddy greyhound mix made the British headlines when befuddled staff of the local pound couldn’t figure out how the dogs were getting lose and partying all night. A video camera caught Red, a ruddy greyhound mix, opening his cage door, freeing his best buddy (the dog brought in with him) and assorted pals, so they could run amok and eat all kibble they could find. Well, Red has made the headlines again! With all the publicity he caused, the celebrity pooch was adopted into a loving home… and promptly started locking his owners out of the house! (link goes to another slideshow).
My ringneck parrot did something like that once–while I was at work he let himself out of his cage and then went over to the aviary and let the other birds out. Lots of fun for me when I got home from work.
My former housemate and I had some minor problems when Fatcat and hs cat, Oldcat tagged teamed. They were only buddies if they were teaming up to be naughty together. Otherwise, they would look at each other with disdain and would get into slapfights. If we came home and they were sitting beside each other like pals, we knew something was up.
Oldcat was a master at opening cupboards. Fatcat know how to unwrap stuff (choclate bars, granola bars, cookies). So sometimes we’d come home to wrappers scattered through the house. Luckily, they never got sick from the shenanigans (chocolate is not good for cats).
