I’m a sci-fi fan, but of very specific things … like Star Trek and Star Wars. LOL The only children’s sci-fi book I know/knew of it A Wrinkle in time by Madeline L’Engle. I wasn’t sure what #9 was asking for … my answer might not be it. And my answer for #10 is only based on my specific sci-fi knowledge, probably to my misfortune.
Oh man, am I gonna tank. I like sci-fi, but not THAT much.

#3: I know he’s not really “sci-fi,” but honest to Og he was my first (and only!) thought. #4: When you gotta start Googling, you know you’re in trouble. #9: Lame-o #10 Ditt-o
ETA: Well, now I know where the word “grok” comes from . . .
#4 is a toughie. I can think of series, but they’re more in the fantasy genre than sci-fi. Which is why I didn’t go with Narnia or Harry Potter.
I’ve never read #5, but I’ve seen it get a lot of mention.
For #1, well, there’s a lot of popular authors out there. But only two strike me as having a chance with this question, so I have to go with the one I liked best, overall.
