James Bond parodies, pastiches and rip-offs in the movies

So I’m watching B-Movie TV the other day and a Filipino movie titled For Y’ur Height Only pops up. It stars Weng Weng as Agent 00, a 2’ 9" superspy. A superstar in his own country, he did one other movie as Agent 00(The Impossible Kid) . It reminded me of other pseudo-Bond flicks, such as Our Man From Bond Street, starring Sean Connery’s younger brother Neil.

If possible, I’d like to keep this to movies that refer directly to the Bond character, so no Matt Helm, Austin Powers or the like.
What have you got?

George Lazenby made a brief cameo as J.B. in Return of the Man from U.N.C.L.E.

His sole outing as James Bond in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service got a reference.

The Casino Royale version starring Woody Allen.

Also the animated TV series from Disney, Kim Possible is pretty obviously a Bond parody.

I would like to stick to theatrical movies, if possible.

Sounds like you could use a copy of…

The Liquidator (1965) may qualify as well, but it definitely has the best fake-Bond theme.

The title character is based on the “Boysie Oakes” stories by John Gardner, but that title sequence(sung by Shirley Bassey, no less!), certainly fits the bill.

Yeah, but it is more fun if people just bring up their favorites in thread.

Dude, you watched a Weng Weng movie. You need all the help you can get.

Oops. Never mind.

Never mind.

I’ll never mind if you’ll never mind.

The only good part of, “The Cannonball Run,” was Roger Moore playing Seymour Goldfarb playing Roger Moore.

“Mother, you know too much to live.”

You first.

According to the Neil Connery Wikipedia page, the “Bondish” movie Neil Connery was in was called “O.K. Connery”, “Operation Kid Brother” and “Operation Double 007”.

And he died last week!

It’s not the “only” good part. There is a lot of good in that movie. A lot of crap, too. Hal Needham is a worse director than Alan Smithee.

“When I was in Egypt making The Fly Who Bugged Me, it was at least 180 in the shade… not that there was much shade.”

Wasn’t the film being made in Hooper supposed to be a 007 film with Adam West as Bond?

The Spy Who Laughed at Danger

The Lone Gunmen, a brief spin-off of the X Files featured a character named James ‘Jimmy’ Bond.

The bleak, gritty, austere British Drama Carry On Spying manages to get most of the standard caricatures in (not to mention a bit of The Third Man for good measure).

One of the characters is even called Charlie Bind. (Codename 'Double O - oh).

I am, of course, the internationally recognized expert on this subject.

Well, I started the James Bond parodies article on Wikipedia that Drop linked to. (The original page from 2005.)
