In what movies did James Cagney play George M. Cohan?
Are there others besides Yankee Doodle Dandy and The 7 Little Foys?
You’re too good. A guy could learn to hate that real easy.
I watch classic movies. Sue me.
Actually, I have both of those movies in my collection, so it wasn’t that hard to remember.
Trivial trivia. There’s Cohan in the Foy movie and Foy in the Cohan movie.
A short scene in Yankee Doodle Dandy has Eddie Foy, played by Eddie Foy, Jr., marveling at a theater plastered with advertising for a new musical starring George M. Cohan, words and music by George M. Cohan, choreographed by George M. Cohan, directed by George M. Cohan, produced by George M. Cohan and Sam Harris.
Yankee Doodle Dandy is one of those movies that works because of its outright corniness, not in spite of it. Great film!
