James Taylor fans-favorite albums

I’m a James Taylor fan from way back. I’d have to say my absolute favorite would be JT. Back in 1984 this album helped me throught one of the worst bouts of depression I’d ever experienced. It’s just something that is unexplainable.

Much older than that – 1971’s Mud Slide Slim. It’s kindof a tie between that and Sweet Baby James.

I love his first album on Apple, just titled James Taylor. I also love Mud Slide Slim.

I have a hard time picking a favorite album. I love small songs from each of them - “Summer’s Here” and “That Lonesome Road” come to mind from Dad Loves His Work, and “Millworker” from Flag is worth the price of the entire album.

Oh, now I have “Summer’s Here” in my head - I wish it were warm out!
Summer’s here. I’m for that.
I got my summer sandals, got my straw hat.
Got my cold beer, man I’m glad that it’s here.
Summer’s here. It suits me fine.
It may rain today, cause I don’t mind.
It’s my favorite time of the year and I’m glad that it’s here.
Old man wintertime he blows so cold.
10 degress below, ya know.
You can take your ice and snow, but let my balmy breezes blow!
Summer’s here. I’m for that.
Got my summer sandals got my straw hat.
Got my cold beer, man I’m glad that it’s here.
It’s my favorite time of the year and I’m glad that it’s here. Yeah.
