I have one of her albums, “Fictions”, where she does a wonderful version of Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon”. What a beautiful voice. She was a talented and accomplished artist, and a complicated, colourful lady who led a full and interesting life.

I never heard her sing a different song than “Je t’aime…moi non plus”, I mostly know her as an actor, so does she always sing in that hushed, breezy style or can she also sing with a full voice?
From what I’ve heard of her work, that’s her typical style, but she can also be more forthright, as in, for example, the track “Home”, the first track in her “Fictions” album. A beautiful voice there, too. I don’t claim to be all that familiar with her work and history, just saying that I admire her from what I do know.
And yet, despite being married to John Barry, she never sung a James Bond title song.
I was never a fan, but I’ve always really liked this song, even when I was way too young to understand who she was singing about. Her name can be added to the list now.

She was also the inspiration for the famed Birkin bag created by Jean-Louis Demas, the creative directer of Hermes. Birkin bags sell for $10,000 - $30,000.
