Jax area: What's a good 295 exit?

I’ll be heading south for a few weeks, and plan to ditch for a night in the Jacksonville, FL area–preferably off 295.

I don’t need much in hotel accomodations–hot/cold running water, a door that locks, and sheets that aren’t sticky.

The ideal place would also have some selections of restaurants (TGIF, Ruby Tuesday, Outback, etc.)

Can anyone thing of an exit that has these meager qualifications?

Exit 12 in Orange Park has a bunch of hotels from Motel 6 on up and restaurants. It’s also 5 miles from my house. Exit 10 also has a bunch of motels and fewer restaurants, but it’s just 2 miles from exit 12. And the road that parallels the interstate between these two exits is full of restaurants.

Let me know when you’re passing thru and if my busy social schedule allows, I’d consider penciling you in for dinner… Dang - that sounds pretentious, doesn’t it?? :smiley:
