Jay Leno's "Jaywalking" Accurate or not?

It’s that [weatherman?] they always make fun of on The Soup. Willard Scott? (You said no Googling and my mind is a little hazy on his name but I can picture his face and big creepy smile no problem!)

Good news: You are correct.
Bad news: You won’t be put on the Jaywalking segment.

You should have said something like, “George Bush?” or “Arnold Schwarzenegger?” and then your face would have been shown to millions watching the show and they could have cut to a nice Photoshop of one of those two in a Bozo suit.

I love the Cash Cab and am always on the lookout for Ben’s cab as I bounce around Manhatten. But this show is also heavly edited.

The disclaimer at the end says the contestants are “pre-screened” but apparently there is some debate about what that actually means.

um… it might be important to remember that Jaywalking is not a documentary, it’s entertainment. IOW they edit out the parts that AREN’T entertaining. It’s not funny to hear someone get an answer right.

That’s one of the reason I don’t care much for Jay Leno; he makes people the butt of his ‘humor’.

At least David Letterman channels his humor by either being an asshole, or by using self deprecating humor.

Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear did something like this once: here is a clip. On one side he showed people going “I dunno” and walking off, but on the other side I suppose he didn’t put in those that were able to fluently list European states and capitals.
