Jeep™ Easter eggs

Any one have any?

Would you show us? Please.

I was watching a video on YouTube the other day about some tricks with the remote. I haven’t tried any on my 2021 Wrangler (which I just got last month - and LOVE!) yet, but I’ll report back when I do.

Ooh.

Can’t wait.

Must be several Jeep owners here.

We had a Jeep in the motor pool a couple of months ago. I found the Loch Ness monster and the chameleon.

Okay, well sadly the light show from the key fob hasn’t worked on my 2021 JL Sport S. Unlock-Unlock-Lock-Unlock. It’s supposed to look like this:
Jeep JL Lightshow Feature via Key Fob

I do have the Willys MB on the passenger side corner of the windshield. I do have the topographic maps and symbols on my slush mats. 7-slot grills are everywhere, including the headlights. Sandals on the hood cowl. I also have a lot of Willys MB images on the dash screen, but I haven’t yet seen the one driving across the bottom on startup (maybe because I have a manual).

I do not have the Willys MBs on the rims - not surprising because of the trim level. What did surprise me is that I don’t have the Morse code JL logo in the trunk under the 12v outlet.

ETA: my steering wheel does have the three nubs in the center where the spokes for the Willys MB would be.

No Easter eggs, but I’m pretty sure when I was a kid that I spilled some Skittles in the back seat of my parents’ Jeep. Whatever happened to that vehicle, there are probably still some stuck somewhere.

I finally caught the Willys MB that drives across the dash on startup. It’s quick.

Also found bonus MBs on my side steps

Nice! Boy I wanna see these things. I’m gonna have to accost Jeep drivers in parking lots.

Cross your :crossed_fingers: fingers for my safety.

Anyone want to explain these for non-Jeep owners?

There are little hidden figures on Jeeps that are fun to look for. Nessie is on the back windshield. The chameleon I found was hidden beneath the wipers. See here

I like secret (sorta) things like this.

I’m always watching for them.

Boredom makes one weird. (Hush!)

I was thinking I don’t remember seeing any of these on my Jeep. But I looked and found they introduced these in 1997 and I owned a Jeep before then.

I tried to start an Easter egg hunt here on the Dope.

Alas, I was shut down.:face_holding_back_tears:

Jeep likes to put Easter Eggs in their vehicles, mostly as a nod to Jeep history and identity. Years ago I owned a 1997 Wrangler TJ and it had a couple subtle ones, but since then they’ve become a bit more overt. This video is a pretty good start, but there are lots more and you can go down a YouTube rabbit hole.

When I get a few minutes, I’ll go out and take some pictures of the ones I’ve found on my Jeep (if posting a bunch of photos is ok for this thread).

I own a 2025 Grand Cherokee. I had only noticed a couple of the most obvious ones, like the American flag next to the Cherokee name on the door, and ‘Since 1941’ on the dash.

I just now googled and went out to my Jeep and found the rest of these (the Google AI got all of these right, except ‘Generational Silhouette’ which appears on the rearmost passenger-side window, not the tailgate window):

These quirky, hidden details are scattered throughout the SUV: [1]

  • Map of Detroit: Open the hood to find an etching of the Detroit area—a nod to Jeep’s Motor City roots—which even includes the 313 area code and Woodward Avenue. [1, 2]
  • Willys Silhouette: Look at the driver’s side corner of the windshield to find the silhouette of an original Willys Jeep climbing up the glass. [1]
  • Classic Grille: A tiny 7-slot Jeep grille is etched into the inside edge of the passenger side windshield. [1, 2]
  • “Since 1941”: The year Jeep was founded is etched into the dashboard near the edges of the doors and often on the steering wheel. [1, 2]
  • Hidden Fuel Door Icon: Open the fuel filler door to find a tiny, old-school Willys Jeep. [1, 2]
  • American Flag: Look at the side of the door near the Grand Cherokee emblem to find a small American flag (U.S. models only). [1, 2]
  • Generational Silhouette: On the rear tailgate glass, you’ll see outlines of past and present Grand Cherokee models alongside a small 7-slot grille. [1, 2]
  • Center Console Details: Under the center console lid, you can find another 7-slot grille silhouette and a dedicated slot molded to hold the vehicle’s key fob.

This is my wife’s Cherokee windshield:

I have the same on my 2017 Cherokee Trailhawk.

What year and trim is your wife’s Cherokee?

Show all the pictures. I wanna see…

I love that little Jeep on the windshield. So cool!
