Jeep™ Easter eggs

I own a 2025 Grand Cherokee. I had only noticed a couple of the most obvious ones, like the American flag next to the Cherokee name on the door, and ‘Since 1941’ on the dash.

I just now googled and went out to my Jeep and found the rest of these (the Google AI got all of these right, except ‘Generational Silhouette’ which appears on the rearmost passenger-side window, not the tailgate window):

These quirky, hidden details are scattered throughout the SUV: [1]

  • Map of Detroit: Open the hood to find an etching of the Detroit area—a nod to Jeep’s Motor City roots—which even includes the 313 area code and Woodward Avenue. [1, 2]
  • Willys Silhouette: Look at the driver’s side corner of the windshield to find the silhouette of an original Willys Jeep climbing up the glass. [1]
  • Classic Grille: A tiny 7-slot Jeep grille is etched into the inside edge of the passenger side windshield. [1, 2]
  • “Since 1941”: The year Jeep was founded is etched into the dashboard near the edges of the doors and often on the steering wheel. [1, 2]
  • Hidden Fuel Door Icon: Open the fuel filler door to find a tiny, old-school Willys Jeep. [1, 2]
  • American Flag: Look at the side of the door near the Grand Cherokee emblem to find a small American flag (U.S. models only). [1, 2]
  • Generational Silhouette: On the rear tailgate glass, you’ll see outlines of past and present Grand Cherokee models alongside a small 7-slot grille. [1, 2]
  • Center Console Details: Under the center console lid, you can find another 7-slot grille silhouette and a dedicated slot molded to hold the vehicle’s key fob.
