jeep Liberty "part time light"

I recently had my liberty sport have an oil change, transmission flush and air filter changed at my local jiffy lube.

When I left I noticed that my “part time” four wheel drive light was on even though the four wheel drive wasn’t engaged.

When I returned they couldn’t figure out how to fix it back, and even suggested that I didn’t know how to drive my car. ( he said the part time drive light should always be on… huh?).

I’ve had the car for eight years… and the “part time” light has always come on when I engaged the four wheel drive.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Possibly they broke or knocked a wire loose on the xfer case.
