Jessica Jones question (SPOILER if Answered)

I’m only a few episodes in on this series, so I don’t want to visit the thread about the show, but my wife and I have a question that I hope someone can answer without too many other spoilers: Does Jones start wearing a costume and fighting crime, or do other people dressed up in tights show up? I ask because neither of us enjoy any kind of superhero show and we could bail now if it is going to turn into one. If, on the other hand, it has more of a feel of the first couple of seasons of Heroes, we’ll stick with it.

In the episode last night, they made reference to the Hulk and Captain America, so apparently they exist in this show’s universe, but I’m hoping no one like that shows up.

No tights, and she explicitly refuses to wear a costume. HTH :slight_smile:

None of the characters become any more costumed than in any t.v. police drama or t.v. detective drama.

In fact, a candidate costume is specifically brought up to mock. They exist in the same universe as the Avengers movies, but none of those characters ever show up.

It is definitely some kind of superhero show, in that the heroes and villains have superpowers and those superpowers drive the plot. They are, however, much more reserved in their use.

I’m okay with gritty, low-key superhero, kind of the Game of Thrones treatment.
