Jessica Lynch, war hero

When Saddam saw it was Lynch, he gave up

God bless you, Private Jessica!

This is a joke. This is not a real story. Laugh, fools, laugh.

I’m afraid you’ll have to explain the joke to me. I’m too dense to get it.

Afer putting out all those oil-well fires by herself, I guess she had to do something as an encore.

Yes, but I don’t think she can ever top strangling those snakes in her crib.

Bruce_Daddy, meaning no disrespect to Jessica Lynch, since she’s certainly suffered and didn’t ask for the role she’s been thrust into, but her stroy’s been exploited for political PR enough to trigger this kind of satire. I doubt that anyone indulging in it has ill-will toward Lynch herself; but the partisan uses of her image are fair game, IMHO.

Sinungaling, are you sure about the cradle stuff? I thought she sprang full-grown and in battle armor from the forehead of Karl Rove.

sighThis whole thread is just going to turn into one big whoosh!-ing.

Oh my, a UFO just landed outside my window! And Osama bin Laden’s piloting it!!

So when is she going after Osama?

Eddy, you’re right, I must have gotten her mixed up with Bush. Boy, is my face red. There are just so many latter-day American heroes springing up today that it’s hard to keep track. Truly, we live in a time of legends. Decades from now, our grandchildren will listen to us in awe and disbelief as we tell them of the gods who once walked upon the earth.

“Grandfather, Grandmother, tell us again of those golden days of past! Tell us of how the many-headed Taliban was slain by Blessed Cheney the Magnificent! Tell us of how Bush, the Merciful, the Loving, in His name may we conquer, how Bush defeated the wicked bin Laden in single combat! Tell us of the great duel they fought, and how all men of pure heart cheered the great hero, and how even the beasts of the field aided his struggle! Oh, Grandfather, Grandmother, how I wish I lived in such times!”

“Oh, Grandfather, Grandmother, how I wish I lived in such times!”
You do. It will continue far into the foreseeable future. Learn to appreciate that which has been bestowed upon you.

Meh. This kind of alleged humor just makes me kind of tired.

It makes me sad.

It makes me horny.

It makes me horny and ashamed.
