**How come Jesus doesn’t allow people to kill themselves so they can get in heaven earlier? (If you ask me, it’s just an excuse made up by the followers. What difference does it make how you get there if Jesus loves you so much!)

Killing is a sin. Mortal sin involves (so teaches, IIRC, the RCC), grave matter, serious reflection, and full consent of the will. IOW, it’s a big deal sin, you make up your mind you’re going to do it, and you’ve thought about it a while. So suicide is very much a mortal sin in many cases.

If the pitcher of a baseball team prays for his team to win, he’s actually asking Jesus to have the other team lose, right? Why is that okay?
When I have witnessed coaches or players praying to God before games, mostly they’re asking for things like “don’t let me fumble” or “keep my knees high” or “give us the strength to win” . . . things which make them perform better but don’t necessarily guarantee victory. IOW, they’re asking God to make them play better.
Polycarp, my take on therost is that candyboi either ment theorist or theory/ies or somesuch.
