Jet cooled beer. Whatever next?

Check out The jet powered beer cooler . Hard to say if it’s for real though

That is the most utterly ridiculous thing I ever saw. He has some engine hooked up to a tank of LP gas, and then cools the beer by placing it next to the tank when it gets cold. He could have gotten an equal effect by just opening the tank and venting the gas. Compressed air tanks get cold when you release the gas. He should just get a tank of nitrogen, and stop creating pollution with the burned gases.

Now if you want to see something really amazing, I commend to your attention, self-heating sake cans:

I saw one of these in the mini-bar of my room at the Tokyo Hilton, but I didn’t want to spend the $15 for a small can of sake.

… or he could buy a propane refrigerator…

Well, the beer cooling aspect is purely a joke. If you follow the “How I built it”, you will soon realize that he really wanted to build the jet engine, and realized that he lost pressure from the LP tank as it cooled. To counter this, he placed it in a warm water vat. From there it was a short leap to cooling his beer.
