I was coming out of the TCU School of Business after class and as I passed by an open window I heard on a radio that something was happening in Dallas. Since that was my last class for the day I was headed home and when I got there (just a couple of blocks from school) my wife had the TV on and told me that Kennedy had been shot. We spent the next three days glued to the TV.
Not too long after that the Fort Worth Star-Telegram published a book about the assassination, called The Torch is Passed. We bought it but it stayed on the shelf for a long time before either of us could bear to read it.
