…The woman playing Iris can’t act her way out of a paper bag – the scene where she came in and found them with the pinata totally didn’t work. Of course, it probably should have been sent back to the writers one more time, too.

One thing that’s starting to get on my nerves about the show as a whole – does the whole look of the show have to be so friggin’ DARK all the time? Yeah, I get the whole point of visual style, but Jesus, people, would it kill you to turn on a light? Or let people go outside on a sunny day?

I also hated the actress playing Iris. The voice alone was enough to make me want to drive a rusty screwdriver through my eardrums.
And yes, God help me, the lighting. I notice it the most in the police station. It’s so damn BLUE all the time.

vivalostwages, I also loved Joan’s carrying-on at her mom in the kitchen. That was a great scene.

Yeah. That’s because all the police scenes are shot with a ridiculous blue filter. This is right out of the Traffic school of directing: “Everything in America is blue! Everything in Mexico is yellow! I’m brilliant!”

It gets annoying.

I was finally home for once on a Friday night but still missed it. I thought it came on at eight but it comes on at seven. Curse you, Central Time! I need tape stat, viva.

NCB, welcome to the fanclub. I didn’t see this episode but considering you did and thought it rocked, I can assure you that it’s always as good as this. If I weren’t such a partisan Trek fanboy, this would even be my favorite show instead of Enterprise.

Tape will be sent when I get a bit more stuff on it…and I think the p.o. is closed Monday, and I’m off to the casino Tuesday, so you’ll have to manage until I send it Wed. morning. Priority, of course. I realize what a big emergency it is for you.
